School for the Education Program
Due to ongoing construction work, a class from California Polytechnic was able to visit at the beginning of the term to study the acidification of marine waters and their chemical composition.

Discover the rich fauna and flora of Tetiaroa in a fresh, accessible format. Each month, we’ll bring you a new episode that dives into the vibrant ecosystem of the atoll, showcasing one species at a time, its story, its role, and why it matters.

Release of the movie: “Waltzing with Brando”
Waltzing with Brando, directed by Bill Fishman and starring Billy Zane, tells the story of Marlon Brando’s ecological vision in French Polynesia. Filmed locally, the film immerses viewers in the early days of this bold adventure.
The movie celebrates Brando’s vision, while at Tetiaroa, we continue to make it a living reality through our conservation and cultural efforts, thanks to our dedicated team, volunteers, and partners.
Immersive video on Reiono with Imagine5
Discover the thriving wildlife of Tetiaroa through the lens of Imagine 5, an environmental storytelling platform on a mission to inspire sustainable change.
Their latest video follows our guide Thierry Sommer on Motu Reiono, a tiny islet of the atoll, as he encounters giant blue coconut crabs and the iconic grandpa cabbage tree. Thanks to Tetiaroa Society’s efforts to remove invasive species, native hermit crabs and cabbage trees are flourishing, bringing the Tahitian primary forest back to life.
